About Us
We are "The Composers Showcase" of Las Vegas.
We are an entertainment forum that allows local composers, lyricists and songwriters the opportunity to present original material to a supportive audience in an informal cabaret-style setting. The Showcase is hosted by Keith Thompson (conductor of Jersey Boys) and Michael Brennan (conductor of Le Reve). Our focus is on uniting the Theatre community of Las Vegas and revealing the creative spirit that abounds in all of us who are struggling in the desert to find our way to artistic expression. We also attempt to laugh a lot and have a great time.
We are not an "open mic" showcase. We carefully plan each presentation, screening composers and material, in order to provide the best and highest quality entertainment, while being respectful of our artists and our audiences as well as our host venue.
This month (Wednesday, March 28th, 2012) we are presenting our showcase at "Cabaret Jazz" at the new Smith Center for the Performing Arts, a beautiful 244-seat cabaret venue in the Smith Center's Boman Pavilion in Downtown Las Vegas. Tickets are $20 at the door, or available by phone or online.

Any profit will go to a non-profit organization (yet to be named, but soon to be announced).
This is a single event, and if all goes well, perhaps we will continue to present our Showcase at the Smith Center.. But we are open to other possibilities and are always looking for the perfect showcase venue for our talented and gifted writers and performers.
The exact date, time and venue of the showcase may vary from month to month. Those interested in being on our e-mail data base for monthly notification of the schedule, as well as composers wishing to present at the showcase, should CLICK HERE to contact us.
From April of 2007 through September of 2010 the Liberace Museum graciously allowed us to present our showcase in their beautiful and intimate Cabaret Showroom. We sadly acknowledge the closing of the Museum and wish to thank the staff of the Museum and the Liberace Foundation for being so kind to us and allowing our Showcase to exist in the venue there. We hope we have also been helpful to them by bringing awareness of the Museum, the work of the Foundation, and of Liberace's mission of nurturing artistic talent and supporting the performing arts to a new and varied audience that would come each month to attend or participate in the Composers Showcase. We eagerly look forward to presenting the showcase at the Smith Center, a new venue and home for our Showcase. We appreciate the patience and the support of our audience and we look forward to bringing many more presentations of the Composers Showcase to Las Vegas to help lift and maintain the high standards of the musical, theatrical and artistic community here.
